The wolf glared with sharp red eyes trying to pierce all the way to the very core of Cydonia’s soul, but as luck would have it, the Seraphim did no even flinch in front of such a threat.
“Nice poochie! How about a mugger’s body?” she asked pointing at the recently deceased thief.
Unamused by her attempt, the beast dashed forward, going for the kill, but Cydonia stood her ground. With her shield in her left and sword in her right, she was ready for it. When the wolf was in range, with one fast swipe of her sharp blade, she slashed open its throat and using her shield, she then bashed it in the head, pushing it away from her. The beast yelped and squirmed in pain for a moment before succumbing to its death.
Jumping back on her feet, Cydonia dashed towards the mage. He had no more thieves or familiars to summon now. There was no way for him to defend himself against her attack. Injured and bleeding heavy, it was only a matter of time before he died from blood loss. However, Cydonia had no desire to offer him such a death. She wanted to be the one to end his miserable life.
Billy’s rage-filled glare turned into a twisted grimace of pain as the cold blade of the Seraphim pieced his heart.
“Your evil deeds shall taint the beauty of this world no more!” declared Cydonia as she pulled out her sword from his chest.
With a fast swipe through the air, she cleaned it of blood and then sheathed it. Now, she was ready to return to the temple and offer the good news to Sister Leandra.
Before she walked out of the thieves camp on the edge of the river, Cydonia spotted something near one of their crates, it was an old armor and helmet. These might not have been the best money could buy, but comparing to her bikini armor, these were far better.
What’s the harm in some extra protection? Besides, every lady is in need of a new dress now and then. she thought with a small smirk on her lips.
