Cydonia searched throughout most of the dungeon for the kidnapped novice, but she couldn’t find any trace of her. Chests and old pieces of furniture were the only things decorating the empty rooms. She decided not to waste any time searching for loot until she was certain sister Nimues was safe.
Where could she be? she asked herself as she walked towards the last part of the dungeon.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw a hallway with four cells, two on each side.
Of course… After searching everywhere else, it is only fair that she would be locked up in the very last room. Cydonia thought as she let out a long sigh.
“Sister Nimues! Are you in here?” she called out.
“Y-Yes! I’m right here! Please, help me!” replied the novice as she walked up to her cell’s door.
The woman spoke with a trembling voice, no doubt shaken by what happened to her.
“Sister, are you alright?” asked Cydonia a she took out her keys and opened the door.
“Thank you, Sword Sister! Thank you!” she said with tears in her eyes as she jumped to embrace the Seraphim as soon as she could.
Her sudden gesture surprised Cydonia, but she realized the novice must have been quite frightened by what those scoundrels planned on doing with her since she trembled like a cornered hare.
“It’s going to be alright, sister. I’m here now.” she said with a soothing voice as she patted her back.
