When novice Nimues calmed down, Cydonia went back to the other rooms where she previously seen a couple of chests. With the intention of grabbing whatever useful loot she could find from that place, the Seraphim began to open each one of them. What few coins she found, she poured them in her own pouch, and anything she couldn’t wear but sell, she stashed it in a bag she found laying on one of the tables. By the time Cydonia decided to head off, she found herself a new pair of boots, a new body armor, a belt, a pair of gloves, a new shield, and the most surprising piece of them all, a brown winged armor just like her own.
A few minutes later, the two women were out of the cave and walking on the river’s shore, heading for the woods.
“I wonder how Harkan got his hands on these wings?” Cydonia asked.
“I fear they may belong to another Sword Sister.” said Nimues with a low voice.
“What do you mean?” Weird, I didn’t see the body of one of my own back there. she thought.
“I overheard Harkan mutter something about ‘the silver blood of the seraphim’, but I do not know what it means. Maybe it’s something he read about, or one of our sisters is trapped somewhere by others like him.” said the novice.
“Hm, let’s pray not, but once we get you back to safety go and tell Weston everything you can about these scoundrels, just in case there are any more lurking around these parts.” suggested Cydonia.
“Yes, Sword Sister!” she replied with a small smile on her lips.
Ten minutes later, the two women entered the monastery grounds where sister Imue awaited their return.
“Al Taro, Seraphim! Thank you for saving our sister, Nimues!” she said.
“My pleasure!” replied Cydonia as she showed them a gentle smile.
After that she was off to meet Commander Romata, but not before she sold her loot to the local merchant.
